As a trained classical pianist Edward has an extensive repertoire of classical music, but he is equally at home improvising pop songs, musical theatre repertoire, and all other music that appeals to him. As a dance accompanist he worked (among others) for the Royal Conservatory (The Hague), Scapino Ballet (Rotterdam) and the Netherlands Dance Theatre(The Hague). As an opera repetiteur he worked for Opera Spanga (Spanga), and for his own company MusicalWorks he worked as a repetiteur for his own pieces.
Edward studied classical piano at the Utrecht Conservatory with Alwin Bär and Alexander Warenberg. Since graduating in 1997 he has been active as a professional pianist. In 2001 he received highest honorable mention in the Concours Musical De France in Paris, playing pieces by Domenico Scarlatti, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt, Manuel de Falla, Claude Debussy and Luciano Berio.
